Onur Aşkın is an Assistant Professor, researcher, and independent game developer working at the intersection of visual communication design, game studies, and emerging technologies. He is the founder of Overlike Games, an independent game studio dedicated to developing atmospheric, narrative-driven digital experiences. His research focuses on Visual Communication Design, Game Design & Game Studies, Artificial Intelligence in Design, Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), Extended Reality (VR/XR), and Typography & Design Research.
He received his B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Dumlupınar University, his M.A. in Visual Communication Design from FMV Işık University, and his Proficiency in Art in Graphic Design from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
His research and creative work have received numerous international awards and have been exhibited in biennials, international design exhibitions, and the collections of internationally recognized museums. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Digital Game Design at Doğuş University.
